Fresh off two festival screenings earlier this month (including last night at the Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco) Wilco’s new concert film will be shown at the 1st annual Chicago International Movies and Music Festival on March 9. Ashes of American Flags, which took Best Cinematography honors at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, Montana on February 20 is set for a April 18 release. This will be an active time for the band and its fans alike, as Wilco’s next studio album reportedly is nearing completion with a June target date in mind. A trailer of Ashes of American Flags, is now available online and the band will return to the road on April 14 with a gig at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theatre.
