Allman Brothers Band bass player Oteil Burbridge will be busy over the coming months, appearing in a range of contexts, including shows with the Allman Brothers Band, Bill Kreutzmann and Scott Murawski as well as the Jimmy Herring Band. In addition, he will put in guest stints with two other groups. On Wednesday March 18 at New York City’s Sullivan Hall, during a day off from the ABB’s Beacon run, he will join guitarist Scott Sawyer’s Go There project, completing a trio with Kenny Soule. Then from April 2-4, Burbridge will gig in South Carolina and Georgia for three nights as the special guest of The Lee Boys. For a bit more on Burbridge and his role in the Allman Brothers Band, check out Randy Ray’s interview with Butch Trucks, now up on the site.
