The promoters of the High Sierra Music Festival have announced their initial artist lineup via a creative direct-to-YouTube video. John Butler, Umphrey’s McGee, Ani DiFranco, the Disco Biscuits, Galactic and The Del McCoury Band will anchor the 19th annual festival, along with Steve Kimocks Crazy Engine, The Wailers and Ollabelle. High Sierra also will continue to explore the roots-rock side of the indie world with marquee slots by recent Relix cover subjects Dr. Dog as well as Los Angeles Everest. In addition, after a year off, San Francisco royalty Tea Leaf Green and ALO will return, presumably for multiple performances.

Others acts scheduled to appear include: Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, Vieux Farka TourDevil Makes Three, The Travelin’ McCourys, The Lee Boys, Cornmeal, Bonerama, Marco Benevento Trio, Nathan Moore, Fareed Haque and The Flat Earth Ensemble, Pretty Lights McTuff feat. Skerik, Joe Doria, Andy Coe & D’Vonne Lewis, Joe Craven and Sam Bevan Duo, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Pimps of Joytime, J-Boogie and Dubtronic Science, Poor Man’s Whiskey and Living Folklore. Skerik and Joe Craven will also both appear as festival artists-at-large and perhaps take part in some of the festivals annual playshops.
High Sierra will return to Quincy, CA from July 2-5.
