Luther Dickinson is quickly rivaling Warren Haynes as the busiest man in showbiz. In addition to being a member of both the Black Crowes and his own North Mississippi Allstars, the guitarist recently formed the South Memphis String Band with fellow guitarists Alvin Youngblood Hart and Jimbo Mathus (Squirrel Nut Zippers). The blues-based trio has confirmed a slew of spring dates, kicking off with a performance at Dallas Sons of Hermann Hall on April 23. The South Memphis String Band will then move through the South and East Coast before bringing things to a close with a performance at Memphis Otherlands Coffeeshop on May 9. Meanwhile, fans can find Dickinson onstage with the North Mississippi Allstars at Gainesville, FLs Common Grounds this evening.
