Phish has added two dates to its first summer tour since 2004. The group will appear at

Boston’s historic Fenway Park on May 31 and has added an extra show at Wantagh, NYs Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on June 2. The group has already sold out gigs at the tiny Jones Beach venue on June 4 and 5. Like the groups other reunion shows, the Boston date was announced via video splash page that includes footage of Fenway, as well as the stadiums organist playing a bit of Tweezer.
The bands May 31 stop at Fenway Park marks the first time Phish has headlined a major league baseball stadium. The gig is timed with longtime friends Dave Matthews Bands appearance at the same stadium on May 29 and 30.
A limited number of tickets are available directly through Phish Tickets’ online ticketing system at http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/.. The ticketing request period is currently underway for the newly announced shows and will end on Sunday, April 12 at 11:59PM EST. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, April 17.Phish has already recorded demos of 20 new songs and entered the studio last week with Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band) to begin work on Phish’s first new studio album in five years. Lillywhite previously produced Phish’s 1996 album, Billy Breathes.
