The Slip to Play in 2009

The Slip has confirmed a few additional tourdates. The trio has not toured regularly since 2007, but seems to be gearing up for a busier 2009 with upcoming appearances at Bostons Paradise Rock Club (6/25), Quincy, CAs High Sierra Music Festival (7/2-5) and Live Oak, FLs Bear Creek Music Festival (11/13-15). This summer will mark The Slips twelfth consecutive year playing High Sierra. In addition, The Slip will team up with Nathan Moore for a Surprise Me Mr. Davis show at New Yorks Living Room (4/25), as well as at both High Sierra and Bear Creek.

The members of the elusive band continue to remain busy with their various solo projects. Guitarist Brad Barr will open for The Gene Ween Band at Bostons Paradise Rock Club (4/15) and support Joe Russo at New Yorks Sullivan Hall (4/17). Meanwhile, bassist Marc Friedman will perform with Serena Jean at New Yorks National Underground (4/11), play with the Marco Benevento Trio at Ithaca, NYs Castaways (4/17) and anchor the Brookynola Allstars at Brooklyn, NYs Public Assembly (5/8).
