Levon Helm will turn 69 years old next month and the drummer will celebrate with a month of Rambles. May will feature five performances by the Levon Helm Band at his studio in Woodstock, New York. At present none of the opening acts or guest players have been announced but one show of interest is the May 23 Ramble, which has been identified as ‘Levon’s Birthday Bash’ (his actual birthday is three days later). Also of note are a few dates in June, as Helm and his group will appear at Red Rocks on June 13 and also return to Helm’s native Arkansas for a performance at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville on June 18.
