Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band and the Beastie Boys will headline the second annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival this August. As previously reported, the three-day event will return to San Franciscos Golden Gate Park from August 28-30, offering a mix of rock, pop, jazz, blues, indie, folk, jam, electronic and world music. Foodies will also be able to enjoy onsite food and wine from a number of local restaurants and wineries.

Outside Lands will boast marquee sets from Phish-loving arena-rockers Incubus, hip-hop/pop band Black Eyed Peas, hip-hip diva M.I.A, pop singer Jason Mraz, metal titans Mastodon, seminal Brazilian psychedelic rockers Os Mutantes, the recently reactivated Ween, prog-metal stars The Mars Volta and electronica sensations Thievery Corporation. In addition, Outside Lands has secured appearances by a number of popular indie bands, including Modest Mouse, Silversun Pickups, Built To Spill, Deerhunter
Calexico, The National, Band of Horses, TV on the Radio and Jack Whites newest project, Dead Weather. Though relatively light on the jam and roots musicians originally associated with its sister festival Bonnaroo, Outside Lands will welcome singer Bettye LaVette, reggae group Midnite, bluesy roots-rockers JJ Grey & Mofro, New Orleans exports Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and the freak folk collective Akron/Family. Perhaps most surprisingly, Welsh-born pop singer Tom Jones will also perform at the three-day event.
Like the festivals inaugural offering, a number of Bay Area bands will also commute to Golden Gate Park, such as Brett Dennen, Raphael Saadiq, The Morning Benders, SambaDa, The Dodos and West Indian Girl. Other acts confirmed to appear include: Atmosphere, Q-Tip, Kinky, Lila Downs, Dengue Fever, Heartless Bastards, The Dirtbombs, Lenka, John Vanderslice, Matt and Kim, Portugal. The Man,
The Duke Spirit, Zee Avi, Blind Pilot, Ryan Bingham and Extra Golden.
