As we previously announced, on April 27, the Tipitina’s Foundation will host a benefit to provide new musical instruments to the New Orleans area schools as part of its Instruments A Comin’ program. The benefit concert and auction will take place outside Tipitina’s Uptown and features such artists as: Galactic, George Porter, Jr., Ivan Neville, Theresa Andersson, Rebirth Brass Band, Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington and Johnny Vidacovich, Soul Rebels and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux and Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Two nights later Vidacovich, Porter, Andersson and Anders Osborne will return to the venue for a show that will benefit the Foundation. This is but one of many concerts that will take place at Tipitina’s during its Annual FessJazztival. The club is offering a VIP package to all of these performances that also will help support the Foundation, with the full details at the Tip’s website.
