Organist Booker T. Jones will begin a three-night residency with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this Monday, April 20. The M.G.s leader will perform with the group throughout the program in support of his new studio album, Potato Hole. The album, which is a collaboration with Drive-By Truckers and Neil Young, will hit stores on April 21.

The Roots own residency at New Yorks Highline Ballroom continued this week with another round of special guests. This weeks show saw sit ins from rappers like: Joe Budden, Tanya Morgan (Von Pea + Donwill), Jahdan, 77 Klash, Nikki Jean, Dice Raw, Truck North and Melanie Fiona. A number of instrumentalists also appeared including Mazz Swift ‘Moist’ Paula Henderson, Seth Trachy, Labamba, Mark Pender, Lorant Viczian, Kwame Brandt-Pierce and Antibalas Yoshi Takamasa.
