The Dirty Dozen Brass Band has fleshed out its JazzFest schedule. The New Orleans favorites will kick off a busy few weeks by lending their horn section to indie rockers Spoon for a Fairgrounds performance on April 24 (last year Spoon also collaborated with Bonerama). Later that night, Booker T. Jones will join the group onstage at the Republic as part of the Backbeat Jazzfest Series and, the following night, the Dozen will headline The Maple Leaf.

On April 26, the Dirty Dozen will move across town for a performance at Tipitina’s Uptown with the Blind Boys of Alabama, and on May 1 several former members of the bands past lineups will take the stage for a performance at the Fairgrounds. The Dirty Dozen will then close out its JazzFest run with night performances at Preservation Hall on the May 1 and Tipitina’s French Quarter on May 2.
