BoomBox will release its sophomore album, downriverelectric, this spring. Led by

Zion Godchaux, the son of Grateful Deads Keith and vocalist Donna Jean Godchaux, the album is said to have a more aggressive than 2005s Visions of Backbeat, but explores a similar electronic sound.
This Saturday BoomBox will nod to its roots by playing a post-show for The Deads Madison Square Garden show aboard the Half Moon. Part of promoter Rocks Offs fleet of party boats, the Half Moon will depart from New Yorks East River at 12 AM (technically early Sunday morning) and circle Manhattan into the early morning. Fans who bring their MSG Dead stub to the dock can also buy tickets for the discounted price of $20.
