RAQ will headline a special charity event in New York City on May 17. The Ten Ton Ball, will take place at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York City, with proceeds to benefit Scott Hazelcorn Children’s Foundation (which sponsors a ‘one week all expense paid summer camp specifically created for children who’ve lost a loved one due to the World Trade Center attack as well as any child, ages 7-12, who have lost a parent to illness or tragedy.’) The Ten Ton Ball also will feature music from former RAQ keyboard player Marc Scortino as well as a set from the band’s current keyboardist Todd Stoops. This will be a formal event with ‘Cocktail Attire’ required (‘black and white with a twist of spring color’) and tickets now on sale.
