Tea Leaf Green is now off until mid-May when the band will appear in Boston at the Paradise. However the group’s members will be occupied over the coming weeks in a variety of contexts. Josh Clark will put in a stint with Particle, while Trevor Garrod is scheduled to appear with The Everyone Orchestra and Reed Mathis joins the Marco Benevento Trio.

In addition, we wish to report one bit of news that eluded us following Green Apple Music Festival weekend. Last Saturday Tea Leaf Green founding bassist Ben Chambers returned to the stage with the group at the Fillmore in San Francisco, as part of the Green Apple Festival. Chambers appeared at the outset of set two to sing on ‘Professor’s Blues’ before returning during the encore to lend bass to ‘Franz Hanzerbeak.’ In addition, current TLG bassist Mathis reunited with his former Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey drummer Jason Smart at this gig, with Smart adding percussion throughout the night
Looking ahead, the band also has announced that its May 30th show at Philadelphia’s Theatre of the Living Arts has been moved to the Electric Factory where the group will open for Dark Star Orchestra. Tickets for the TLA show will be honored at the Electric Factory or refunds are available at point of purchase.
