Matisyahu has enlisted a number of familiar faces to back him on his upcoming tour. As folks who attended his recent Twitter-enabled rehearsals sessions can attest, he will be joined by the Dub Trio on these dates. The Dub Trio (DP Holmes, Stu Brooks and Joe Tomino) previously joined Matisyahu on his cover of John Lennons Watching the Wheels for 2007s compilation disc Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur. In addition to the three players, longtime Matisyahu collaborator Aaron Dugan will appear on guitar and recent band member Rob Marscher will add keys. The tour opens on May 30 at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater in Pompano Beach, FL and continue through July 19 at Denver’s Mile High Music Festival. Les Claypool also will perform at Pompano Beach and a number of the shows to follow, with Umphreys McGee and Knaan signed on for some dates as well.
