The second annual Awesometown Festival took place over the weekend in Morrisville, PA. Give Us The Money Lebowski headlined the event, offering two evening sets, as well as a stealth acoustic set Saturday morning that included a stripped down version of 2001. The band also covered material by Phish, the Disco Biscuits, Pink Floyd and Talking Heads. Festival co-promoter Bryan Holroyd strapped on a bass for a version of Phishs Tube with the group Saturday, while God Street Wind guitarist Lo Faber helped the groups through his own Wendy. Faber also played a set that included material written throughout his entire career, including Nightingale, RU4Real, Get On The Train, Drive West and Princess Henrietta.

Disco Biscuits drummer Allen Aucoin was scheduled to perform under his electronica alias DrFameus, but instead used his slot to debut his new project The Island with Aaron Goldberg, DJ Drizno, and Jon Huss. The group ran through some rearranged Drfameus tunes, a few new jams and a cover of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Sir Psycho. He also participated in a superjam that drew in Goldberg, The Breakfasts Tim Palmieri and SeepeopleS Matt McDonald. Also in the sit in department, Matisyahu keyboardist Rob Marscher joined DJ Wyllys for his entire set of analog dance music Friday night. Other highlights included The Heavy Pets,
SeepeopleS, Cliffside Push, The Brew and The Macpodz.
