Dave Matthews Band will cram into New Yorks Beacon Theatre for an intimate performance on June 1, the night before the group release of _ Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King_. The gig is the bands first in the room since it played a benefit show in the approximately 3,000-person venue, though Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds headline a gig there in 1999. The entire performance will be telecast live in high-definition and commercial-free on Fuse TV. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Dave Matthews Band’s Bama Works Fund supporting charitable programs in the Charlottesville, VA area.

Fuse will also air a multi-part documentary on the band this spring. DMB will kick off the next leg of its 2009 with an appearance at Darien Center, NYs Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on May 27.
