The annual North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic take from June 26-27. The festival will be held on an 1,100 acre site in the rolling hills of Potts Camp, MS. The North Mississippi Allstars, Kenny Brown, Hill Country Revue and DuWayne Burnside Band will anchor the event, which will also feature Jimbo Mathus &Knockdown South, Burnside Exploration, Dave Kimbrough Band, T-Model Ford, Rising Star Fife and Drum Band, Kent Burnside & the New Generation, Rev. John Wilkins and Shannon McNally, among others.

According to event organizers, In the mid-90s the world discovered the power and distinctive sounds of North Mississippi blues via the recordings of R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, and Otha Turner. The 2009 festival lineup includes all of the major contemporary artists with direct ties to the three men noted above.
