Bruce Willis, Tom Petty and Heartbreakers Appear With ABB

Last night the Allman Brothers band performed the first of two shows at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The Doobie Brothers opened the evening, after which the Brothers took the stage for a single set that drew out some notable guests. First up was Bruce Willis, fresh off his guest stint at the Beacon Theatre, who added harmonica to ‘You Don’t Love Me.’ Then longtime Tom Petty keyboard player Benmont Tench emerged for ‘The Sky Is Crying.’ Petty himself stepped out next, along with longtime guitarist Mike Campbell for two Bob Dylan covers: ‘It Takes Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry’ and ‘Highway 61 Revisited.’ A bit later both Willis and Tench returned for the ‘Southbound’ encore.
