Peter Cooper VillageStuyvesant Town is a red brick, post-World War II community located on the east side of Manhattan. This summer the mini-village will host a series of free, public shows in The Stuyvesant Town Oval, a park located in the center of the community between 16th and 18th Streets and Avenues A & B. The summer series will take place on Wednesdays and will feature a number of intriguing acts, including The Budos Band (6/10), Phenomenal Handclap Band and DJ Duane Harriott (6/17), Easy Star All-Stars and Ticklah (6/24), Jay Reatard and DJs Doug Mosurock and Mr. Vacation (7/1), Forro in the Dark and DJ Probus (7/8) and Kaki King, Justin Carter and Raspberry Jones (7/15). All shows will begin at 7 PM.
