This past weekend Widespread Panic manager Buck Williams celebrated the wedding of his daughter Sarah. At one point during the event, some of the musicians in attendance took the stage, along with Buck himself, to serenade the couple. John Bell and Chuck Leavell stepped up along with REM’s Mike Mills and former REM drummer Bill Berry. The quintet performed REM’s ‘Dont Go Back to Rockville’ and the Rolling Stones’ ‘Honky Tonk Women.’ These players were then joined by some members of the Waller Family (who handled most of wedding music) for a version of ‘Statesboro Blues.’
