Rodrigo y Gabriela have set September 8 as the release date for their next studio album, 11:11. The album was recorded in Ixtapa, Mexico and produced by Rodrigo y Gabriela, with John Leckie co-producing two of the albums tracks. The album was mixed in Wales and London by Colin Richardson, who is best known for his work with Slipknot and Trivium. The albums title is fitting: 11:11 features 11 new original compositions and is the band’s personal ‘Gracias’ to 11 musicians, both past and present, who have inspired them along the way. Both acoustic veterans Strunz & Farah and metal titan Alex Skolnick of Testament appear on the record. Skolnick first joined the duo onstage at New Yorks Webster Hall in 2007.

Rod and Gabby will open their fall tour at New Yorks Terminal 5 on September 16. The duo will then make stops in Denver (9/19), Seattle (9/21), Oakland, CA (9/23) and Los Angeles (9/25). The group will also appear at Milwaukees Summerfest on June 28.
