Yankee-turned-jazz-guitarist Bernie Williams will sub for Les Paul at New Yorks Iridium Jazz Club for the next two weeks. Though he turned 94 this month, Paul continues to host a weekly residency at the jazz venue, playing shows each Monday at 8 and 10 PM. Paul will take rare sick days on both June 22 and 29 and, in his place, Williams will perform with the Les Paul Trio. Though the cause of Pauls health problems have been kept private, the guitarists spokesperson says he will be back soon. Williams also plans to sign baseballs, guitars and his latest CD after his performances.
