Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney has put together a new side-project titled, well, Drummer. Carney will switch to bass for the project, which features several additional

Ohio-based drummers on other instruments Teeth of the Hydras Jamie Stillman (guitar),
Beaten Awakes Jon Finley (vocals, guitar), Houseguest and Six Parts Sevens
Stephen Clements (keyboards, vocals) and Ghostman and Sandmans Greg Boyd (drums).
Drummer will release its first album,Feel Good Together, on September 29 via Carneys label, Audio Eagle. We started playing together in February and within two months, we had a whole record, Carney said in a statement. We have all been friends for a long time and decided that our time would be better spent making music than making snowmen and watching YouTube.
Drummer will kick off a national tour at Brooklyns Southpaw on October 8. The tour will move through the East and Midwest before coming to a close at Clevelands Beachland Ballroom on October 25. Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach only recently embarked on a solo tour.
