The Brooklyn country/punk group O Death will headline Brooklyn Bowls first night of music this Friday, July 10. The new bowling alley and concert hall officially opened last night and will be open Sundays and Tuesdays Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM, and Fridays and Saturdays 6:00 PM- 4:00 AM during a special soft opening period. During this time Brooklyn Bowl will not be open on Mondays, and is serving only to a 21+ crowd. Full operating hours will begin later this year.

Brooklyn Bowls first show will be curated by Flavorpill, who will host a bi-monthly part of the new venue. In addition to O Death, the event will feature indie-soul collective Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt, as well as DJs Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin. Regular concerts will be held at the venue starting this fall.

‘From the first nights at Brooklyn Bowl it has become obvious that the venue shares much of the same energy that Wetlands was blessed to haveand, that has been without doing any live performances, says venue owner Peter Shapiro, who also serves as the publisher of Relix and Jambands.com. With our first show with O’Death it’s going to be pretty exciting to see how it all comes together.
Looking ahead, Brooklyn Bowl will also host Lebowski Fest on September 24. The event will feature trivia, costume, contests and, of course, bowling.
