A new quintet will draw together some bandmates, new and old. Guitarist Avi Bortnick once toured in John Scofield’s Uberjam collective, which also featured Jesse Murphy on bass. They will reunite in the Shitty Shitty Jam Band which also features Murphy’s fellow Brazilian Girl Aaron Johnston behind the kit along with fellow drummer Shawn Pelton (_Saturday Night Live_, Sheryl Crow) and keyboard player Brian Charette. The group will appear this Saturday night in New York City at Sullivan Hall and then on July 31 in the City at NuBlu.
