There’s plenty of festival action to be had across the country this weekend. As we’ve previously reported, Camp Bisco is now underway in Mariaville, NY (we’re hoping Green rebounds to take Color War 2009). The Northwest String Summit is in motion at Oregon’s Horning’s Hideout. TOOL will perform its frst show since 2007 (along with two days of Widespread Panic) at the Mile High Music Festival. Over in Chicago, Tortoise will help kick off the Pitchfork Music Festival in a few hours. Meanwhile, one event we have yet report on is Mothership Landing. This funk-infused weekend is slated for Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Garrettsville, OH. George Clinton and P-Funk will headline with Freekbass, Waterband, The Groove Prophets, The Boogie Hustlers, The Bob Niederriter Quartet and Sultans Of Bing signed on as well.
