Simone Felice (Felice Brothers) and Robert ‘Chicken’ Burke (George Clinton) have teamed up in a new project called The Duke & The King. The pair have a studio album set for an August 4 release and will tour in support of the disc. Their recording is entitled Nothing Gold Can Stay, which perhaps not so coincidentally, is also the name of a well-known poem by Robert Frost. Beyond their upcoming 13 date tour, which opens in Woodstock, NY at the Colony Cafe, the Duke & The King also have confirmed a November 7 slot back in Woodstock as part of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble.
