Bob Dylan isnt exactly known for sit ins these days, but on Tuesday the legendary songwriter brought out guitarist Charlie Sexton during his performance at Round Rock, TXs Dell Diamond. The Texas-based Sexton has been associated with Dylan since the 1980s and officially joined The Bards band in 1999. Along with guitarist Larry Campbell, Sexton anchored what many consider Dylans best group since The Band. He is featured on both Love and Theft and Masked & Anonymous.
Campbell emerged on Tuesday for Honest With Me and remained onstage for a mix of classics, new songs and material from his Dylan-period: Forgetful Heart, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, I Feel A Change Comin’ On, Highway 61 Revisited, Ain’t Talkin’ Thunder on the Mountain, Like A Rolling Stone, Jolene and All Along the Watchtower.
Dylan will perform in Grand Prairie, TXs Quik Trip Park tomorrow.
