Lucinda Williams will celebrate her 30th anniversary a tour that will consist of three-night-stints in New York and Chicago, and two nights in Toronto. The tour, which kicks off in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 18, will hit New Yorks The Fillmore at Irving Plaza on October 3, Toronto on October 10 and 11, and then hit Chicagos Park West on October 13.

In New York and Chicago, Williams will celebrate her career by breaking up the shows according to the timeline of her career. The first sets of each of the three night stands will feature music from 1979 to 1989. In these ten years Williams recorded the albums Ramblin, Happy Woman Blues and Lucinda Williams. The first sets of the second nights will feature music from 1992 to 2001. The folk guitarist recorded her albums Sweet Old World, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and Essence in this span and won her three Grammys: in 1993 for best Country Song Passionate Kisses, in 1998 for Best Contemporary Folk Album, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, and in 2001 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance Get Right with God.
On the last nights of these three-night-stands Williams will perform music from 2004 to present day. This most recent era includes her albums World Without Tears, West and Little Honey,her most recent album. On the first night in Toronto Williams will play music from Ramblin, Happy Woman Blues, Lucinda Williams, and World Without Tears. On the second night the music will be from her albums Sweet Old World, Car Wheels, West and Little Honey.
