Back in 1973, after Creedence Clearwater Revival broke up, John Fogerty released his first solo album, The Blue Ridge Rangers. This collection offered 12 covers of country and rock songs. Forgerty’s The Blue Ridge Rangers Rides Again, which is set for an August 31 release, pursues a similar path, including a version of the Everly Brothers “When Will I Be Loved” with Bruce Springsteen. Fogerty will support the disc with a number of New York City appearances in early September. On the 2nd, he will deliver a free outdoor show at New York’s South Street Seaport at 7PM. He will then make television appearances over the days to follow, visiting David Letterman on September 3 and Jimmy Fallon on September 8.
