The members of RatDog and Jackie Greene’s band collaborated numerous times over Labor Day weekend. The two groups locked sets Friday at San Diego, CA’s Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay: Greene and most of his band helped RatDog open its set with “Scarlet Begonias” and the singer/songwriter remained onstage for “Iko Iko.”

The following night RatDog and Greene both took the stage at Los Angeles, CA’s Greek Theatre. Greene opened the show and then joined RatDog for the first few songs of its set: “Franklin’s Tower,” “Help on the Way,” “Slipknot!” and “Minglewood Blues.” Finally, on Sunday the tour made a stop at Pozo, CA’s Pozo Saloon where Bob Weir, Mark Karan and Jeff Chimenti all sat in with Greene for “Sugaree.” Noted fiddler Phil Salazar also took the stage at the end of RatDog’s first set for “Bird Song” and later emerged for “You Win Again,” “Youngblood,” “Me and My Uncle,” “I Know You Rider” and “Bird Song Reprise.” RatDog will kick off its fall tour with a two-night run at Upper Darby, PA’s Tower Theater on October 16 and 17.
