Although this happened a week ago, it seems remiss that we not report on the solo vacuum performance by Jon Fishman. Phish’s drummer appeared at the 33rd Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, Maine, a three day event that places a focus on organic farming. There he delivered what was described as an original composition, “Staccato in G Flat For the Failed Agrarian.” Fishman joked, “I’m sort of embarrassed about the fact that I am using one of the modern electric vacuum cleaners, I don’t have one of the horse powered ones” before he let it rip.
