Cyril Neville will celebrate his 61st birthday at New Orleans’ Blue Nile this Saturday. A number of musicians will pay tribute to Neville Brothers percussionist, including his former Meters collaborator George Porter Jr., Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, James Andrews, New York-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Brain J., Tim Green and The Caesar Brothers featuring Jason Neville & Manny Yanez, Gaynielle “Queen G” Neville and many other musicians. Admission to the gig is $20 and will include a “Happy Birthday feast.” The following night Neville will take the stage with the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars at The Voice of the Wetlands Festival in Houma, LA. Cyril Neville released Brand New Blues earlier this year.
