Stockholm Syndrome bandmates Jerry Joseph and Danny Louis performed as a duo for the first time this past Saturday. The gig was originally scheduled to be a solo show at Woodstock’s Bearsville Theater as part of Joseph’s current October tour, but the guitarist confirmed Louis’ appearance on his official homepage shortly before the show. Louis proved to be quite the multi-instrumentalist throughout the night, alternating between bass, guitar and trumpet.

The duo opened with Joseph’s 1994 original “Beautiful Child of God” and offered a mix of songs, including “White Dirt” and “Bouncin Very Well” from Stockholm Syndrome’s 2004 album Holy Happy Hour. In addition, Joseph and Louis also previewed a few songs in the running for the next Stockholm Syndrome album like “Apollo” and “Wisconsin Death Trip.” Partway through the show, dobro player Bret Mosley—who appears on Joseph’s 2009 release _Charge_— also sat in on “What You Feel” and “Evasive,” two songs from that release. Joseph will perform in Camp Hill, PA on October 17.
