Longtime friends of the Relix/Jambands.com family Dan Berkowitz and Deanne “SuperDee” Herman tied the knot this Saturday at Long Island’s Great Neck Synagogue. Berkowitz served as the Disco Biscuits’ operations manager before forming the VIP and festival travel agency CID Entertainment, while Herman has worn such hats at Jambase.com as editor, web designer, webmaster and creative director since shortly after the popular website’s inception.

A number of familiar faces celebrated with the happy couple, including drummer Joe Russo, Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz, guitarist Scott Metzger, Roc-A-Fella Records hip-hop producer Dirty Harry, Umphrey’s McGee manager Vince Iwinski, Red Light Management’s Kevin Morris, HeadCount Executive Director Andy Bernstein, Jam Cruise’s Annabel Lukins Stelling, photographer Dave Vann, Brooklyn Bowl principal Peter Shapiro, Sirius Satellite Radio’s Jam_On host Jonathan Schwartz, Hidden Track founder “Ace Cowboy” and Hard Head Management’s J. Bau, as well as numerous members of the Jambase.com, Relix Magazine and Jambands.com staffs.

The four founding members of the Disco Biscuits—Marc Brownstein, Jon Gutwillig, Aron Magner and Sam Altman—were also in attendance, and raised a chair or two in the traditional Jewish hora dance. Magner also served as Berkowitz’s best man and, during his toast, led the couple’s wedding band through “an interpretive dance,” which in actuality was a new, original song, “Love and Laughter and Happily Ever After.”
