Last night, Gov’t Mule’s tour veered north to Canada for a performance at Toronto’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Big Sugar frontman Gordie Johnson lives in the are and sat in with Gov’t Mule during its encore for “Long Distance Call” into “Smokestack Lightning” and “I’m A Ram.” Johnson produced Gov’t Mule’s most recent release By a Thread. The band will perform at Montreal’s Le National this evening.
