Steel Train’s Evan Winiker, Bonnaroo 2008

While Steel Train has spent much of this year in the studio working on the follow-up Trampoline, the band recently hit the road on tour with Hanson. the cross-country jaunt began on September 30 in Tulsa and will close out on November 8 in San Diego. Over the course of this past week the members of both bands have shared the stage to deliver classic cover songs that span the decades. On Monday at the WorkPlay Soundstage in Birmingham, AL it was “Sweet Home Alabama.” On Tuesday Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon saw “Living on a Prayer.” Then on Wednesday in Atlanta at The Tabernacle, the groups joined forces for “Gimme Some Loving.” The tour will also features hellogoodbye and Sherwood will resume on Halloween night in Houston at the House of Blues.
