Caravan of Thieves sold out two shows over the weekend at FTC Stage One in Fairfield, CT. The group, which is spearheaded by Fuzz (Deep Banana Blackout) and his wife Carrie Sangiovanni, recently described their music in a Jambands.com interview
as “Gypsy Swing Meets The Beatles at Tim Burton’s House.” On hand to join the group for this musical amalgam were Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth from Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club. On Halloween the pair guested on what Fuzz describes as a “‘Caravan’-style rendition of Talking Heads’ ‘Psycho Killer’” as well as a version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Tom Tom Club multi-instrumentalist Bruce Martin also joined in over the course of the night as well. Next up for Caravan of Thieves is a gig this coming Friday in New York City at Drom.
