New York’s Sam Champion will perform its first show in 2009 next month. The group has been relatively inactive this year while guitarist Sean Bones and drummer Ryan Thornton focus on their reggae-rock group (which plays under Bones’ name). The self-proclaimed “reunion-ish” gig will take place at Brooklyn, NY’s Union Hall on December 5. RANA keyboardist Matt Trowbridge will open the night, while Sean Bones will DJ afterwards. Meanwhile, Sean Bones has confirmed shows with Brett Dennen and Grace Potter for November 19 at Boston’s House of Blues and November 20 at New York’s Terminal 5. The group will kick off a tour with the Benevento Russo Duo this Friday at West Chester, PA’s The Note.
