Joel, "Jimmy" and the New Mastersounds

This past Saturday the New Mastersounds headlined New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Partway through the show, Umphrey’s McGee’s Joel Cummins emerged to play Rhodes on “Carrot Juice.” In addition, New Mastersounds bassist Pete Shand sat in with the evening’s opening act Higher Hands on “War.”
In other Umphrey’s McGee news, the band has announced the third installment in its Stew Art Series experience. The all-improv show, which allows fans to submit jam ideas via text message, will take place at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground this Friday. The show will be held at 5 PM, shortly before the band’s proper set.
