Wetlands Preserved Returns To Sundance This Friday at Midnight

Wetlands Preserved: The Story of an Activist Rock Club returns to its rightful place as a midnight movie this coming Friday on Sundance Channel. This is one of four airings of the documentary film this month (with the complete air times below). Wetlands Preserved, directed by site editor Dean Budnick, incorporates archival footage, soundboard recordings and the efforts of a dozen digital animators to chronicle the story of New York City nightclub Wetlands Preserve from February 1989 through September 2001. The documentary features music from Phish, Blues Traveler, moe., The Disco Biscuits, Dave Matthews Band, Sublime, Ben Harper, Spearhead, 311, Ani DiFranco, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Spin Doctors, Fishbone, Agnostic Front and many additional artists.

Tom – hope you get back out there! It’s a pretty good eievronmnnt for it, and the more people doing it the more impetus City Hall will have to make changes in our favor. Matt – I hate that, too. I’ve found, though, that if you just give them the old “pass me” wave, they generally do. On a similar note, though, I’ve mentioned before how much I hate when my bike doesn’t have enough metal to set off the detectors at traffic lights, and I hate it even more when I’m sitting on one and a car pulls up behind me, but so far back that it doesn’t set off the detector either! So we both sit there, waiting for the light to change, until I basically have to run it and look like a tool for being impatient. Sigh…
