The Avett Brothers’ New Year’s Eve show has been moved from Asheville, NC’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium to the city’s larger Civic Center. A note from the band reads, “For all you folks who were hoping to ring in the New Year with us, here is your second invite. We wanted to bring in 2010 with as many of our fans as possible, and we are pleased to announce we are now playing the Asheville Civic Center on December 31st! Tickets go on sale THIS Friday at 10 AM EST, so check back on the official site then for your ticket link. We hope to see you all out to celebrate!”

The former New Groove of the Month recently released the crossover album I and Love and You. The band will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on November 18.
