Leo Nocentelli has confirmed his New Year’s plans. The Meters guitarist will perform shows with his aptly named The Meters’ Experience at Denver’s Quixotes on December 30 and 31. CR Gruver, a member of Outformation and the local band Polytoxic, will support. The Meters’ Experience will also play Boulder’s Fox Theatre on December 26, Telluride’s Sheridan Opera House on December 28 and Vail’s Sandbar Sports Grill on January 2. Meanwhile, Nocentelli’s former bandmates will ring in 2010 by playing a private party in Boston as the Funky Meters.
