Ike Willis and Ray White each joined Frank Zappa for extended stints in his touring bands, during a period from 1976-1988. The two, who shared vocal duties while gigging with Zappa in 1980 and 1984, have not hit the road together for a quarter century. Later this month they will do so once again, teaming up with Project/Object over a series of dates that will extend into January. Project/Object, which features guitarist Andre’ Cholmondeley, bass player Robbie “Seahag” Mangano, drummer Eric Slick and keyboard player Eric Svalgard, has been interpreting the music of Frank Zappa for nearly 20 years.
