Sharon Jones’ Christmas Carol

Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings will perform at Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club on New Years’ Eve. In advance of that gig, the band will play two shows in Virginia: December 11 at Richmond’s The National and December 12 at Charlottesville’s Jefferson Theatre. In addition, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings have also released a new holiday-themed song, “There Ain’t No Chimneys In The Projects.” The song is the first Dap-Kings number written by Jones and tells of her childhood in the projects of Brooklyn. A 7” of the song is available for purchase and a mp3 of the track is now available for free.
