Dr. Dog played its last headlining show of the year at Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Bowl this past Friday. The group dubbed the sold-out show July in Christmas and celebrated by both dressing the venue’s stage with Christmas decorations and handing fans sunglasses as they entered the venue. Partway through the band’s 90-minute set the band also filled the room with fake snow. The night came to a close with an extended encore that featured a number of Christmas songs, including “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

The band will release its next studio album in 2010. In addition, the group has confirmed a number of new shows:
