Jam Cruise 8 will set sail this Sunday, January 3. The cruise is now officially sold out, though passengers can already pre-book for Jam Cruise 9 in 2010. In addition, the cruise has confirmed that STS9 will play a rare acoustic set onboard the ship this Monday, January 4. The performance will take place from 4:45- 5:45 PM in the Zebra Bar (STS9 will play its first acoustic show at the University of Denver this evening).

Jam Cruise has also confirmed the initial lineup for its Everyone Orchestra performance. In addition to group anchor Matt Butler, the band will feature: Andy Goessling (Railroad Earth), Joel Cummins (Umphrey’s McGee), Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth), Greg Loiacono (Mother Hips), Eric Yates (Hot Buttered Rum), Bryan Horne (Hot Buttered Rum), Rob Koritz (Dark Star Orchestra), Chuck Morris (Lotus) , Dave Watts (The Motet), Jans Ingber and the JC singers, Ben Thomas (Zappa Plays Zappa), Ryan Montbleau and Josh Phillips. Admission to the performance is open to all passengers who offset their personal travel carbon emissions for their trip to/from Fort Lauderdale.
