Furthur has confirmed another set of intimate warm up shows in Mill Valley, CA. The band, which includes guitarist Bob Weir, bassist Phil Lesh, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, guitarist John Kadlecik, percussionist Jay Lane and drummer Joe Russo, will play Mill Valley, CA’s 142 Throckmorton Theatre on January 6-10 and Mill Valley’s Masonic Hall from January 11-12.The group is already scheduled to play live rehearsal sessions at 142 Throckmorton in January 3-5 and played the Masonic Hall in December. The shows were announced as part of the band’s Futhurmore Friday campaign. Throughout the fall and early winter, the band has confirmed intimate live rehearsal sessions in the Mill Valley, CA-area on select Fridays. There is a strict one ticket limit per person for these shows.

Last night, Furthur celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The band’s second set came to a close shortly before midnight with a run from “The Wheel” into “Dark Star,” Pink Floyd’s “Time,” “Uncle John’s Band” and a set-closing cover of JJ Cale’s “After Midnight.” The band’s cover of “Time” featured vocals by Zoe Ellis and Sunshine Garcia Becker. The singers recently sat in with Lesh and Weir at a benefit holiday concert.

Before the band’s third set, Baby New Year road across the auditorium on a giant Skull to the tune of the Beatles’ “All You Need is Love.” As New Year’s hit, balloons filled the room, and the band returned to the stage to start its final set with “The Golden Road (to Unlimited Devotion).”
