At the end of March, Mavis Staples, Booker T. Jones and Mofro’s JJ Grey will join forces for some dates. At present the What It Is! Tour only has three stops (Fort Worth, TX, Austin, TX and Urbana, IL) but additional shows are always possible. Each of these nights will feature both solo and collaborative performances from the three artists. In addition, Booker T. and JJ have signed on for three more gigs following their run with Mavis (which will carry them to Iowa City, IA, Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MN).
